Daniel Wiley is starting the first year of his Doctrate here at UNT. Prior to his time here, Daniel was the Assistant Director of the Meridian Symphony Orchestra in Idaho, where he regularly conducted on masterworks, pops, and benefit concerts. Recently, Daniel served as one of the Assistant Conductors for the PRISMA International Music Festival held in Powell River, BC, and was a finalist conductor for the “L’arte Espressiva Della Direzione d’Orchestra” workshop and concert held in Rome, Italy. His future engagements include an international conducting workshop with the Moscow Philharmonic as well as collaborating with Texas Women’s University to conduct their production of the Operetta Brundibár by Hans Krása. Daniel has made appearances as a guest conductor with the: Boise Philharmonic, Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale, Boise State University Orchestra, Boise State Symphonic Winds, Denali Chamber Orchestra, Ensemble Equilibrium, and the Moreno Valley Wind Symphony.
